when you google 850 market street, corner of stockton, the map takes you to a spot in the middle of market street, on the train tracks, which is interesting because i found this photo with this card...

my friend and i once wanted to put together a photography book that I thought should be titled "always one looking".  it seemed, to us, inevitable that whatever the situation, a group shot, there was always one looking straight at the camera. see if you notice that.

As a dog lover, I can barely get over this.

A Very Merry Birthday

One of my first collected and one of my favorites.  I only recently noticed that it appears the two girls on the end of the table, who I also believe to be the birthday girls of honor, are twins.  

I love the blur, 
the balloons swinging 
and the wacky line up of each of their little birthday hats.

I looked up the address written on the back of this photo.  

It's in Compton.  

It doesn't look anything like this anymore.
